MAURICE DAOUST

My older brother Maurice, being six years ahead of me in life, has always been a few steps in front — someone I looked up to and learned from without even realizing it at times. We’ve always shared a similar sense of humour, a zest for life, and a teasingly competitive nature that has kept us laughing through the years. Alongside that fun-loving spirit, he has always been incredibly hard-working and deeply responsible, somehow balancing both with ease and humour every step of the way. Like all passionate and driven people, Maurice has his moments of intensity, but those qualities are also part of the heart, dedication, and authenticity that make him who he is.

Maurice is an exceptionally high-achieving man whose dedication to his sons and willingness to help others is truly remarkable. He has a rare ability to step in, find solutions, and generously support the people around him, often without seeking recognition. Like our father, he cares deeply — almost to a fault — and because he carries it all so naturally, his kindness and generosity can sometimes be overlooked. I am incredibly proud to call him my brother and grateful for the influence he has had on my life.
